Harwich Society Tours
The Harwich Society work with the local council to look after local attractions which are historically significant to the area. Within these buildings are artefacts from residents and other supporters on display showing the history of the properties and their place in history. These buildings are open by the volunteers for the benefit of tourists, both local and from further afield with guides and leaflets to help explain what the purpose of the property when built and the artefacts on display and their relevance to the building or the area of Harwich.
Local volunteers provide walking tours of the town of Harwich and give outline details of the properties and their history as a taster for visiting the other buildings at a later time.
