Margate Mod’s & Sixties Festival - Whitsun Bank Holiday Weekend:

Great British Music & Culture host the Mods & Sixties festival. Daytime events are in Margate Old Town with a scooter run and comp, market, live bands and DJ’s.

All events take place in the Old Town on Margate seafront at OLBY’S Music Room.

Skagate - first weekend in July:

The Original 60’s Ska & Reggae Weekender now in its 10th year presents from Jamaica and an international line up of Ska & Reggae DJ’s. The event is hosted by OLBY’S Music Room.

Margate Soul Festival - first weekend in August:

Margate Soul Festival is Kent’s signature soul music festival held on the first weekend of August in and around the picturesque Margate Harbour and Promenade adjacent to the sands of Margate beach.

The Festival offers a unique combination of ticketed large-scale live shows, free to access family friendly street performances, and an eclectic mix of club nightlife. Spread across the creative Old Town, our venues cater for a range of musical tastes, creating the biggest soul inspired festival in the country.

Margate Jazz Weekend - third weekend in September:

Now in its second year an exciting line-up of artists will perform in OLBY’S Music Room with supporting venues and outdoor performs throughout Margate Old Town.

OLBY’S Music Room stage  live music events throughout the year.

OLBY’S Soul Cafe is a cool music bar serving food with a Caribbean twist. Our Sunday lunches have been hailed locally as ‘The Best Roast on the Coast’.
